Upmixing
A recognized world leader in surround sound upmixing, Chace can upmix audio to any modern surround sound format including Dolby® Surround (Lt/Rt), 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1.
Rick Chace brought stereo upmixes to the masses in the 1980s when he developed the first incarnation of Chace Surround Stereo™. This patented system was able to create directional stereo from mono sources with Dolby Surround compatibility.
Since that time, Chace has significantly upgraded the system, now known as Chace Digital Stereo® (CDS) to handle 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 upmixes. CDS® is the only upmixing technology in existence that can create true multi-channel surround with dynamic panning and realistic envelopment from mono source material without "sweetening" the audio. This means that audiences aren’t listening to newly cut effects but are instead enjoying an authentic soundtrack realistically presented in surround sound.

Gone with the Wind was upmixed from mono to 5.1 stereo for home video release at the Rick Chace Theatre.
The Rick Chace Theatre is ideally suited for upmixing titles for theatrical re-release.
The original Bond film, Dr. No, was upmixed from mono to 5.1 stereo in Studio R.
Upmixing to 7.1 or 5.1 for home entertainment use can be done in a number of Chace audio suites, including Studio G.
The entire original Mission: Impossible TV series was upmixed from mono to 5.1 in Studio R.
