To ensure a successful start for every project, all audio and film elements received at Chace are inspected, cleaned, and physically repaired by the Element Preparation Services Department prior to transfer.
Using proprietary cleaning and revitalization processes as well as established archival procedures, our Prep Technicians mend old splices, remove sticky tape residues, stabilize magnetic tape, clean records, and treat warped, shrunken, and deteriorated elements in a high-volume clean room environment. Assets thought to be unplayable have been given new life by the Chace Prep staff.
The Chace Element Preparation Services Department is recognized for its expertise in handling rare and valuable one-of-a-kind assets.
