THOR Mold Abatement Process
Tape and film stored for long periods in warm, humid environments can become contaminated by fungus. Mold colonies can be both a health hazard and damaging to assets. The THOR Mold Abatement Process was developed by Chace technicians to safely, efficiently, and affordably sterilize the hazardous molds that infect improperly stored elements.
Once the mold has been killed, the Chace Element Preparation Services Department will clean each element by hand to remove the dead spores. Infected tapes or film can be sterilized in batches to reduce the time required to deliver large quantities.

Chace Element Preparation Services can determine if an asset has been infected.
Mold colonies are not always this apparent, but they are still hazardous to human health and the media they grow upon.
THOR treated reels should be put into proper storage and will stay fungus free.
