The Rick Chace Theatre, our primary mix stage, is available to rent for pre-dubs, first-run mixing, and Dolby® print master sessions.

Named for company founder and audio pioneer Rick Chace, the spacious 850 square foot theatre is THX® certified with an AVID ICON D-Control ES mixing surface, JBL monitoring, an 18’ by 10’ screen, Barco DP2K-12C Digital Cinema Projector, a full array of outboard dynamics and effects processing, and Pro Tools® HD Accel systems.

The theatre opened in 1997 and has since garnered a reputation for the authenticity and fidelity of its restoration mixes. Lawrence of Arabia, The Sound of Music, and Gone with the Wind are but a few of the hundreds of legendary titles that have been remixed for theatrical re-release, DVD, and Blu-ray Disc® in the theatre. New films such as Next Day Air, The Cell 2: The Cusp, and Super Dimension 70 have been mixed at the RCT.

Comfort is as important as technology when confronted with long days and tight mix schedules. The Rick Chace Theatre has two levels of seating behind the mixing console; a spacious fourteen-foot desk spans the first level, and the second level is equipped with reclining theatrical style seating. A Producers’ Room at the back of the theatre has additional desk space and a sofa for clients and guests to meet and converse during mixes while still viewing their work via a large window looking onto the stage. Wireless Internet access in both areas keeps clients connected to their other projects and colleagues around the world.
